Pear – Beurre Bosc

The Beurre Bosc, sporting it first fruit

This Buerre Bosc was part of the main orchard planting in 2005,  and one of four pear trees in the Orchard paddock, the others being Corella, Packham, and William (and if you want to count it, one of the Perry trees).

We’re hoping we can net the fruit ahead of it ripening next month.

  1. Your Beurre Boscs look redder than mine. I’ve just picked them all (first small crop) as I found two on the ground. They came away easily, but are still as hard as the proverbial. I’ve read on another site that they can keep for 6 months in the fridge.
